Construction Event attendees should be aware of construction near Qwest Field and Event Center. Washington State Department of Transportation crews began construction of a new off-ramp from I-90 and I-5 to Edgar Martinez Drive S. and a new overpass on S. Royal Brougham Way in April 2009. This construction requires long-term road and lane closures on S. Royal Brougham Way, Fourth Avenue S. and Third Avenue S. Parking will be available at the Qwest Event Center Garage, though traffic will be constrained to one lane in each direction during events. Give yourself extra time to find parking and arrive at the event on time, and pay attention to vehicle and pedestrian signage. For more information about the SR 519 construction project, and details about lane closures and traffic configuration, see the SR 519 project website.

This is your day. The Race for the Cure is held in honor of those who have faced breast cancer and survived and to remember those who have not. There are a number of activities planned to celebrate our survivors.

Children of survivors are also welcome, and will enjoy meeting many mascots in costume at the breakfast. Please join us between 7:00 am and 9:00 am in the beautiful location: West Club Lounge, Qwest Field for this memorable morning to celebrate with fellow survivors and co-survivors. Survivor Tent
8:00 am - 12:00 noon Qwest Field Floor The Survivor Tent on the field at Qwest Field invites our survivors to enjoy being pampered while at the Race. Our theme for the Survivors Celebration Tent is Queen for a Day. Survivors will be treated royally within the tent where they can meet, support and be supported by others who are on a similar journey. There will be gifts, prizes and activities that nourish the spirit. The survivor raising the most funds in support of Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure will be crowned Queen for a Day and honored for what she has accomplished.
Survivor Parade and Closing Ceremony 10:30 am - 12 noon Qwest Field Floor & Mainstage Finish the day with a celebration of the amazing progress we have made, together, in the breast cancer movement. The Survivor Parade and Closing Ceremony will begin at 10:30 am. Enjoy the parade of pink, where survivors lead the way to the Closing Ceremony at the main stage area. Visit our Survivors page for more details.

Child and Youth registration includes a youth size Race t-shirt (just like their parent/guardian’s). Visit the Kids for the Cure page to elarn more.
