How do I get my T-shirt and bib?
Participants who register online can choose to have their Race packet mailed to them for an additional $5.  Those who register for Sleep In for the CureŽ will automatically have everything mailed. If you choose not to have your packet mailed, you must pick up your t-shirt and bib at pick-up on Race Day.

Note: Team members must be registered by Saturday, May 24 (mail-in) and Friday, May 30 at 5:00 p.m. (online) to be eligible for Teams t-shirt pick up.  Team members who register after these deadlines may individually pick up Race materials on Race Day.  Visit our Teams page for more details.

How much does it cost to join?
Registration starts at $10 for children (5 years and under), $20 for Youth (ages 6-12) $30 and up for adults depending on Registration type.  A complete fee schedule is available when you click on Register as an Individual or Register as a Team.  Beat the rush, save the hassle, and save money by registering online now!!

Why does it cost more to register by mail or on Race day?
The additional $5 for mail-in registration and $10 for registration on Race day go directly to offset the increased administrative fees associated with processing paper registration forms.  Your best value is to register yourself as in individual or register your team online today!

What’s included in my Race fee?
-Entry in the Race—as a walker or runner—and inclusion in all the Race day festivities
-Official Puget Sound Race for the Cure t-shirt and Race bib
-Personal satisfaction in joining the breast cancer movement and racing for the cure!

What is the difference in Children and Youth registration?
Child registration is for ages 5 years and under.  Youth registration is for ages 6-12.  All t-shirts for children and youth are youth sizes.

What portion of my fees are tax deductible?
Pledges and donations above Race registration fees are 100% tax deductible.  Race registration fees are not tax deductible. (The IRS does not allow deductions when you receive items of value (such as Race materials and insurance coverage during your Race participation) for the entry fee.

If it rains can I get my money back?
The Race will occur rain or shine.  We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances.  In that event that the Race is canceled there will be no refund; rather, your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure.

Survivors

Who is considered a survivor at the Race?
Anyone who has ever been diagnosed with breast cancer is considered a survivor, including anyone who is currently undergoing treatments for breast cancer.  The Survivor category is exclusively for breast cancer survivors.  Family and friends can honor individuals by wearing pink “In Honor of” signs on their backs.  These signs will be available Race morning near Race Day Registration and at the Survivor Tent. Visit our Survivor page to learn more.

I have battled ovarian cancer; can I register as a survivor?
While we recognize the valiant battles fought by all cancer survivors, only breast cancer survivors may register as survivors for the Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure. All of the net funds raised through this event go towards research, screening, outreach, and treatment of breast cancer.

This is my first time signing up as a survivor.  What can I expect?
As a registered survivor you will receive a special pink Survivor t-shirt and hat, along with your pink Race bib, to be worn in celebration on Race morning.  You will also receive a regular Race t-shirt.  The Puget Sound Race for the Cure is a celebration and tribute in your honor for meeting the challenge of breast cancer.  All participants at the Race reach out to honor those who have won the battle and wearing the pink t-shirt exemplifies your fight and courage to overcome the disease. The morning is a celebration of Survivorship and you are the source of our pride and hope. There will be a Survivor Breakfast in and a Survivor Goody Bag at the Sew…you’re a Survivor Tent for all registered Survivors.  Be proud and share your success!  Visit our Survivor page to learn more.
